On 27-29 April 2004, in Amman, Jordan the regular Special Operations Forces Exhibitions & Conference (SOFEX) took place. OAO Motovilikhinskiye Zavody participated in it together with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise SPLAV State Research & Production Association, Tula, as a part of joint exposition of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosoboronexport.
The specialists of OAO MZ took part in the practical conference, concerned with forming and equipping the Police and Armed forces of Iraq. During the conference they had meetings with the managers of National Jordan Company of Military Technologies and Resources Development.
Taking into consideration the results of market research in the Middle East region, the emphasis was made on the demonstration of combat and technical characteristics of MLRS and programs of their updating.
In the course of the exhibition, the above products drew attention of the military and governmental representatives of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, South African Republic and Syria. There was achieved a principal agreement on the possibilities of further military and technical cooperation with some of these delegations.
