Fighting vehicle 9A52-2 is intended for firing with rocket projectiles
and for destruction of attacking means, tank, motorized and infantry units
in concentration areas, on march and in combat order, of artillery battalions
in concentration areas, of helicopter units at landing fields, anti-aircraft
and anti-missile units on the positions, air and naval assault units and other
targets.
Fighting vehicle 9A52-2T is manufactured as a modernized model on "TATRA"
chassis. Up-dating of BM-9A52-2 via introduction of combat control and communication
equipment (CCCE) and automated guidance and fire control system (AGFCS) has
additionally provided for:
- automated high-speed reception (transmission) of information and its protection
from the non-authorized access, visual represen-tation of the information
on the screen of the computer and its storage;
- autonomous survey, navigation and FV terrain orientation displayed on
the electronic map;
- automated tube cluster guidance with the crew staying in the cabin.
