On 29th June through 3rd July of 2005 in decree of the governor of Perm region ÎÀÎ “MZ” participated in the International Maritime Defense Show 2005 (IMDS 2005) in St. Petersburg within joint exposition of Perm Region enterprises.
IMDS is held under the auspices of the Russian government. The event is the biggest display of international maritime achievements in Russia. It accommodated the booths of 352 exhibitors, including 56 foreign participants from 9 countries. IMDS was visited by 28 official foreign delegations, while overall attendance amounted to 80,000 visitors (20,000 specialists).
The exhibition ground was situated in the Gulf of Finland water area, providing excellent display opportunities for the enterprises to showcase their products. ÎÀÎ “MZ” has demonstrated high quality organization of the exposition and has been granted à prize of the Show “For the Best Exhibition Stand”.
In the course of 5 days of the show, MZ negotiated with representatives and delegations from DPRK, Libya, Italy, Germany, Kazakhstan, Byelorussia, and also from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Foreign and Russian specialists showed interest in fighting capabilities and performance of MLRS and self-propelled artillery systems produced by OAO “MZ”, and discussed prospects of cooperation in manufacture and marketing of its defense-related and civil purpose products.
