OAO Motovilikhinskiye Zavody participated in the international armament exhibition “Russian Expo Arms 2004” on 6-10 July 2004.
The exhibition is conducted regularly since 1999 in the city of Nizhniy Tagil on the territory of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Nizhniy Tagil Metal Testing Institute”. Through these years OAO MZ has remained a constant REA exhibitor.
In the current year’s REA exhibition, OAO MZ took part in the joint exposition of Perm region enterprises, as it is situated in the city of Perm, the region’s capital.
On its exhibition area, OAO MZ featured a sample of the 2B16 Nona-K gun.
As it has been already mentioned, the Nona/Vena gun family employs HE-fragmentation projectiles, 120-mm mortar bombs, including NATO 120-mm mortar compatible bombs, guided artillery projectiles “Kitolov-2” and hollow-charge projectiles. Owing to the projectile’s specific structure, the efficiency of HE-fragmentation projectile compares with the standard 152-155 mm HE-fragmentation howitzer projectiles.
The exhibited 2B16 gun awoke much interest of Russian and foreign specialists, along with the curiosity of common visitors.
Apart from that, OAO MZ held business meetings and negotiations with MOD and military industry delegations and representatives of Canada, USA, Great Britain, China, Israel and Cuba. With a number of these delegations, a principal agreement on mutual elaboration of technical issues was achieved.
